Timeline

 

1983: Carrott Founder Mehrdad Saberi was recruited for key operations position at one of San Francisco bay area’s oldest offsite data protection and information storage management providers.

1984: Saberi is tasked with migration and implementation of a new commercial Data storage facility in Palo Alto California.

1987: Saberi is tasked with outsourcing, migration and consolidation of numerous data storage warehouses for Wells Fargo Bank which was managed in house at the time.

1988: Saberi founded the Electronic Data Storage division for a Pacific Union Subsidiary, which later expands to offering services to major corporations located in 17 countries.   This is a precursor to SaaS solution currently offered by Carrot.

1991: Saberi assumed general management responsibilities for DoD approved underground data storage operations (Formerly Western States Atomic Vaults), and is tasked with daily operation, upgrade and expansion of the facility that secured information for defense contractors, government agencies as well as some of America’s most recognized business brands.

1994: Saberi founded Carrot Technologies, Inc. and joined efforts with a former IBM veteran to automate the nightly backup and offsite data protection needs of the business community.

Today Carrott is specializing in cloud based data backup, replication, storage virtualization, and full infrastructure recovery services designed to assist businesses with Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity services.
